  • It’s easy getting your knives and blades to me for sharpening. The preferred method of delivery and pickup is our 24 hour driveway drop-boxes. No appointment needed. Use them at your convenience! Simply put your knives in one of the empty boxes, complete the paperwork (instructions are also located inside the boxes), lock your box with the provided padlock, and text me when your finished with the box #.

  • Absolutely—sharpening your knives is worth it. Even if they're old, inexpensive, or extremely dull, a professional sharpening can restore their performance, making them safer and more enjoyable to use. Regular maintenance can extend a knife's lifespan by six months to a year, offering a cost-effective alternative to replacement. Beyond functionality, sharpening can revive knives with sentimental value, preserving cherished memories. While there are exceptions—such as severely worn blades or those with compromised handles—most knives can be effectively restored.   • For home cooks, every 6–12 months is usually enough. If you cook frequently or use your knives daily, sharpening every 3–6 months will keep them performing their best.

  • No—when done properly, sharpening actually extends a knife's useful life by keeping it in good condition. Professional sharpening removes only a minimal amount of metal.

  • Yes! Serrated knives can be sharpened, but it requires special tools and technique. Not every sharpener offers this, but Johnny’s does.

  • Yes. Professional sharpening uses precision equipment and techniques to ensure a consistent, long-lasting edge without damaging the blade, unlike many pull-through or electric sharpeners that can grind unevenly.
